Pre-Framing
The Pre-Framing stage in specific is focused on establishing your framing, and it consists of four main families of techniques:
- Exclusivity
- Showing that you’re not available to everyone – someone exclusive and specialized;
- Techniques: Limited access, specialization, secrecy;
- Authority
- Showing that you know what you’re talking about and are recognized as an expert;
- Techniques: Diagnosing, abundance and costly signaling, adverse transparency, displayed authority, social proof;
- Identification
- Showing that you share the characteristics of your ideal target;
- Positioning
- Showing that you are unique or different, and stand out from the crowd;
