Suspended disbelief is the act of suspending making a decision about something. It’s useful to remove preconceived notions or conditioned behaviors we may have.
- Before suspended disbelief: “It’s not even worth losing weight, this will never work”;
- After: “I’m not going to make a decision right now. I’ll just take action and see”;
- Before suspended disbelief: “I’m not even going to apply for this job. I will never get it”;
- After: “I’m not going to judge prematurely. Let me put these thoughts aside and just take action”;
